Easter On The Farm

I love Easter. It is one of my favorite holidays! Easter falls in Spring, when everything is renewing and recharging. The trees are leafing out, the flowers are blooming, and we have lots of little babies being born here on the farm. New ducklings following their mamas around the yard to the pond, new little chicks are peep-peep-peeping, the whole season just makes me smile and gives me a warm feeling inside.

Spring and Easter on the farm mean children and grandchildren too. To a child, Easter means candy, much the same as Halloween. I try very hard to spoil my grandchildren as much as possible, but I try to do it intelligently. I do give them candy, but I try not to go overboard, and I add toys and little trinkets to the basket too. Every year I try to include a toothbrush and some toothpaste, to counteract all the sugar in their Easter Baskets!

This year I chose Colgate Nickelodeon Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants toothbrushes. I added some Colgate Dora the Explorer toothpaste too. I just picked them up at my neigborhood Walmart! Walmart carries lots of Colgate products.

I like that I can get all my Easter shopping done at Walmart, because they have such a wide selection of everything you need; candy, trinkets, and clothes, as well as the every day things you need. I managed to fill baskets with candy, trinkets, and pick up a great sweater for the chilly Spring evenings in this one trip! You can check out more about my Walmart trip in my Google+ Post.
 They are gonna love these!
There are some cool apps on the Colgate Facebook page. I love the ‘Smile Signs’ app! You can find Colgate on Twitter too.
