2013 came in with a bang, like every year before. Hubby loves his fireworks, and the kids egg him on, especially since they are old enough to light them too. They shoot off the fireworks, I shoot off the camera. Unfortunately this year there was a lot of fog. I’m not too acquainted with the new camera yet either, which means there were exactly four fireworks pictures taken…the one above being the best…lol.

So, our New Year came in with a little rain and a cold front, but that’s ok. We needed the rain, and since the first day of the year is supposed to be what happens all year, I’m not complaining. After the drought in 2011, and barely enough rain to get us back up to speed in 2012, I’m not going to complain about some rain. I hope your New Year got off to a good start! They don’t sell fireworks around here except around July 4th, and I never remember to keep back anything except for sparklers. New Year fireworks sounds like fun, I have to remember this year!

our neighbors shot off fireworks, but it is actually illegal to do that in city limits here. It was kind of annoying.. I kept worrying they’d start a fire. It is so dry here. So glad you had a great new year.
