I was sent the Hot Pink Lime Tier Cotton Squinchy Capri Set from Lolly Wolly Doodle to review for my granddaughter, and she loved it so much she wanted to wear it immediately.
It was the day we were going to the Children’s Festival. I was watching these two grandchildren anyway that day, because my daughter was participating in a ‘mud run’. When she dropped them off, I pulled the outfit out to show her, and my little Princess, grabbed them from my hand and told her mom, “I wanna wear dis!” So, we put them on her. They were a tiny bit to big, (lol, the pants are supposed to be capris!) but she loved them so much that she wore them all day long. It was a little cool that morning, so they weren’t too uncomfortable. Later in the day, we just pulled the pants off and she wore it as a dress with some shorts under it.
I am so impressed with this outfit. First of all the colors are amazing! The outfits are very colorful, and I think that’s how kids clothes should be! Colorful and FUN! The clothes are made very well, and this outfit is made out of a cotton jersey material that any child would be happy to wear! I learned when my older four were little, that there are a lot of clothes out there that kids won’t wear! The material has to be kid friendly, and all of the Lolly Wolly Doodle line is definitely kid friendly. It’s mom friendly too, and cleans right up easy-peasy! My Princess got a little mustard on her outfit, but it washed out with just a little spot remover!
I also want to mention, Lolly Wolly Doodle is a Christian company that has grown from a garage hobby into a business that is now housed in a 19,000 square foot facility. The owner, Brandi Tysinger, was actually thinking about selling the business when her husband lost his job when the real estate crisis hit. They were faced with moving (Lexington had nothing to offer in job security for her husband), or keeping the company and praying it would support them. God works in wonderous ways, and He blessed the company and helped it grow into what it is today. To date it has created jobs for more than 100 people in Lexington, N.C. (a city with one of the highest unemployment rates in the U.S.).
