WW ~ Amineko’s Adventures

Hello, My Name is Amineko

2013-06-21 13.50.10

Hi Peeps! This is Amineko. I crocheted him from the instructions in the amazingly entertaining book, Hello My Name is Amineko: The Story of a Crafty Crochet Cat by Nekoyama. Not only does this little paperback hold the pattern for Amineko, it has a story line that runs through it in the form of adorable pictures of the original Amineko and his friends. In a comic book type layout of pictures you can see the original Amineko in his every day adventures, and this inspired me to show you some of the adventures of my very own Amineko in his daily adventures here on the farm….

Amineko on his horse

Oh, yes, I love to ride my pony! All around the yard I’ll ride! I haven’t had the guts to go out into the back pasture yet, but maybe someday!  If you’ve had a chance to check out the original Amineko, you will notice that his eyes are different. That’s the wonderful thing about creating… you can change things up a bit and add your own special touches to make it all your own!

Kickin' it with Dad

I love just kickin’ back with the family…Yeah, Dad’s all sweaty, but he’s been out mowing so I didn’t have to ride my pony through a jungle! (Shh! Don’t say anything about the grey in his beard… he’s very sensitive! LOL!) Evenings with the family are great here on the farm! After dinner we just sit back, watch a little television and enjoying some conversation. (Mom crocheting the whole time!) I’ll be back with more shenanigans someday, you just wait and see!!

Do you crochet? We’d love to see pictures of your work, or just any picture you have for Wordless Wednesday! Please link up!

  1. wow! I could never do that! I’m impressed Kay!

  2. I love that he rides a horse too 🙂

  3. OMGosh those are really cute, but I love the horsey even more than Amineko!

  4. I just LOVE that kitty! You have to stop showing these off… I can’t stand the cuteness!! 🙂

  5. I knit and crochet, but I haven’t made many amigurumi’s! I did buy a bunch of safety eyes though, and I know that’s just the beginning!

    • Oh, Heather! Once you start doing them, you cannot stop! Most of them work up so quickly, the instant gratification is amazing, and everyone loves them! It may be too late though, you’ve already bought safety eyes! LOL!

  6. He is very cute and you did a great job. I never learned to read the instructions! Thanks for stopping by OMH this week.

  7. Adorable. This is so cute!

  8. That’s so cute! I want to learn how to crochet.

  9. Awww. So sweet and creative! I love the part about riding the pony through the jungle 🙂
