Devotionals For Children From VeggieTales

Every Day With God Devotionals

VeggieTales' Every Day With God Devo for Boys

Ok, if you don’t know about VeggieTales, you are missing out. These are the most adorable little characters ever! If your child hates to eat their veggies (and most do!), then maybe they won’t mind making them into friends. These colorful devotionals are so inspiring. It will have your child looking forward to the next one, every day.

What’s In These Devotionals

I am loving the VeggieTales characters on every page. These devotionals hold a lesson for every day of the year, meaning 365 very wonderful lessons for your child. The title at the top of the page tells you the topic for that particular lesson. Under the title there is a simple verse that backs up the lesson. Each of these verses is written from a different Bible version. I kind of like that, because it pushes me to look the verse up in our Bible and read it, so the kids can see the different ways people read that verse. We prefer King James Version, which is very different from most others.

There is a scripture on each page of these devotionals

Under each verse there is a paragraph that talks about what the verse means. The devotional was written for children ages 4-7, so it’s all easy for them to understand.

This paragraph tells what the scripture is about in the devotionals

After that paragraph is a ‘Thought of the Day’. I love these. They give your child something to think about. If you choose to use this devotional as a bedtime book, it might be good to remind your child about the ‘Thought of the Day’ the next morning!

A 'Thought of the Day' and a prayer are on every page of the devotionals too

The very last thing on the page, is a small prayer. These are wonderful for helping children remember to pray, and for helping them learn what they should be praying about. Prayer is what brings us closer to God, which makes it so very important.

Perfect Bible Study Tool for Children

These daily devotionals are the perfect Bible study tool. They teach our children to spend some time in the Bible every day, which is a fabulous practice to get into. I’m not sure what the girls version looks like, as I requested the boys version. I’m positive that it’s just as inspiring as the boys version though. I use this devotional every time the grandchildren are over. We just choose a new page to read and talk about. It’s worked for both the boys and the girls just fine. If you are giving it as a gift, you’ll want to purchase the boys’ version – Every Day With God:365 Daily Devos for Boys, and for the girls you’ll want to purchase – Every Day With God: 365 Daily Devos for Girls.
