Vehicle Shopping At The 2017 Houston Auto Show

Luxury Is Making A Comeback

I partnered with SheBuysCars.com for this amazing opportunity. All opinions are my own!

If you are vehicle shopping, check out the Houston Auto Show!

Hubby and I have been discussing vehicle shopping for my next Mom taxi. When approached about working the 2017 Houston Auto Show, I had to say yes! I had the pleasure of attending the kickoff party for the 2017 Houston Auto Show on Tuesday night. The theme was 007, and it was a very glitzy event. There was a fabulous band, and amazing food, but the stars of the night were the automobiles that littered the showroom floor like confetti!

If you are Luxury vehicle shopping, the Houston Auto Show has them all!

The biggest statement this year is the fact that all of the automakers are turning back to luxury. The big luxury lines are making a comeback. Jaguar, LandRover, and Volvo all have beautiful new models on the floor. I noticed, however, that every line had plenty of luxury built into every vehicle, in every price range. That means you won’t have to pay exuberant prices for simple comfort and technology!

Vehicle Shopping Made Easy

The Houston Auto Show is the BEST way to do your vehicle shopping. There are no salesmen, just brand representatives. Every vehicle has a display pad with all the stats you need to make a decision.

These displays at the Houston Auto Show give you all the info you need for vehicle shopping!

I’ve been driving a Jeep for several years now, but the Houston Auto Show gave me some insight into other brands, and I found that Mazda really had a lot to offer.  The Mazda CX-5 and the CX-9 really caught my eye – and captured my heart.

This Mazda CX-9 is on my vehicle shopping list!

Because they are ‘Crossovers’, the Mazda CX-5 and CX-9 make the best ‘family cars’. The CX-5 has over 700 product enhancers, and G-Vector Control, for a smoother, more comfortable ride. The CX-9 has these same amenities, but with even more room. It would be perfect for larger families, because it has 3 rows of seats, fitting up to 7 passengers. One interesting fact about the CX-9 is that the whole middle seat tilts forward to allow passengers access to the back. Even with a carseat strapped in, (not holding a child!) people can move all the way to the back. I just keep thinking how much easier the CX-9 would make my daughter-in-law’s daily school drop-offs! Because they have 4 boys, they really need this vehicle!

The third seat in the CX-9

The CX-5 31 EPA estimated mpg, and the CX-9 gets 28 EPA estimated mpg. The A/C in both vehicles has a pollen filter, which is a MUST here in the Houston area right now! The CX-9 has 3 zone automatic climate control so the kids will stay cool all the way in the back too.

Let’s Get Sporty!

It won’t be long before my boys are off on their own, and I’ll be able to switch to a sports car! So, when the sexy little Mazda MX-5 Miata RF caught my eye, it was love at first sight.  It has the fastest opening and closing retractable roof of all the convertibles on the market. You don’t have to worry about being caught in a Spring shower because this roof closes up so fast, you’ll barely get damp! I found the sports car I want while vehicle shopping Mazda!

The stats on this sporty little beast are very impressive as well. Keyless entry, push button ignition, leather, LED lights; the list is long, but the price isn’t big. The EPA estimated MPG runs 35 on the highway, which I think I could deal with!

Are you vehicle shopping? Check out Mazda!

I have to say one of the most impressive things about Mazda is their Drive for Good campaign. Mazda has raised over $15 million and 262,839 volunteer hours to give back to communities. For every test drive taken during the Drive for Good campaign (between November 21st, 2016 and January 3rd, 2017) Mazda pledged an hour of volunteer time to their local communities. I know I’ll be participating this coming winter. I love a company that gives back to the community!
