Happy Thanksgiving from The More The Merrier

It’s Thanksgiving!

Honestly, this holiday perplexes me. See, I was raised to believe that we should be thankful every day. God sent his son to die for me, I have every reason to be thankful. I sin on what is very likely a daily basis. I have a wonderful husband, who loves me. Our two boys are really growing into respectful young men (even if they are teenagers, and hard to handle on occasion). We have a nice home, and Hubby has a good job. We are in a better place in our relationship than we have ever been. Actually, we are in a very good place in life right now. Is our life perfect? Hahaha, no. We are forgiven though, and that makes our lives perfect enough.

We are spending this Thanksgiving with my husband’s side of the family. Well, part of today anyway. We’ll go eat too much deep-fried turkey, and then make our way back home. We have things we need to do around the farm, and then I’m sure we’ll eat a bunch of leftovers and (hopefully) go to bed early. Hubby has been working a lot of overtime hours this week, and I’m ready for some snuggle time!

I hope you get to spend time with family this year. To me, it’s such an important part of the holidays. My older kids are all busy this year, and we are having enough trouble matching up our schedules to do Christmas together, so we aren’t stressing Thanksgiving. We all see each other pretty often anyway. Hug your kids, and your parents if you still have them (or at least call them all!). Take a few minutes to think about all the blessings you have right now. If you feel like you just don’t have any, email me. We’ll talk. God loves you, and he wants us all to be happy.

I’m thankful for you, my readers. I am also thankful I have this little place where I can come and share with you. Mostly, I’m thankful that I am forgiven, and thankful that God tells me, if you aren’t – you can be.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
