A Fab New Easter Book For Your Littles!

A Fab New Easter Book For Your Littles!

"That Grand Easter Day!" is a wonderful Easter book for children!

An Easter Book for Their Easter Basket

I love to give my grandkids books for the holidays. I think it’s because they love to get them as much as I love to give them. For Easter this year, thanks to Worthy Kids/Ideal publishing, one of them will be receiving, That Grand Easter Day written by Jill Roman Lord, and illustrated by Alessia Trunfio.

That Grand Easter Day tells the story of the resurrection of Jesus in a very simple way. It uses a cumulative  story line, with rhyme and repetition (like the story, “The Woman Who Swallowed a Fly”). This helps younger children to remember the story, and be able to recite it along with the teller.

The illustrations are so bright and colorful. The people are drawn with a middle eastern skin tone, which I think is absolutely fitting. I know my grandchildren will enjoy reading this Easter book over and over. I personally love that it starts and ends with a verse directly from the Bible.

About the Author –

Jill Roman Lord is a nurse anesthetist, as well as an author. She has been writing since she won her first ever writing award in first grade. She also wrote If Jesus Lived Inside My Heart and One Night in Bethlehem. She lives in Charlotte, North Carolina with her family. She enjoys golf with her husband and son, coffee with her girls and running with her golden retriever. She also loves to travel.

About the Illustrator –
